چکیده
Objective: This investigation aimed to detect the possible protective impacts of naringenin (NAR) on vancomycin (VCM)-induced liver toxicity through measuring caspase-3, -8 and -9 activities as markers apoptosis levels tumor necrosis factor-alpha, cyclooxygenase-2 vascular endothelial growth factor inflammation assessing histopathological alterations in rats. Methods: The rats were allocated into seven groups as, control group (saline, intraperitoneally (i.p.)), VCM (400 mg/kg/day, i.p.), Carboxymethyl cellulose (0.5% CMC, orally), NAR100 (100 VCM+NAR25 (25 VCM+NAR50 (50 VCM+NAR100 orally). caspase enzyme measured using colorimetric methods ELISA, respectively. Histopathological examinations performed. Results: significantly higher opposed other groups. ameliorated compared groups, but attenuated and, especially, group. Conclusion: NAR has potential impact injury caused by VCM, at distinct doses may occur via different molecular mechanisms.

Thymosin α1 treatment reduces hepatic inflammation and inhibits hepatocyte apoptosis in rats with acute liver failure
The present study aimed to evaluate whether thymosin α1 (Tα1) increases survival rates through the improvement of immunofunction and inhibition of hepatocyte apoptosis in rats with acute liver failure (ALF). A total of 25 rats were randomly divided into the control group (CG), the model group (MG) and the treatment group (TG). The CG received an intraperitoneal injection of saline (2 ml). The A...
متن کاملHydroalcoholic Extract of Matricaria chamomilla effectively reduces inflammation induced by xylene in rat
Introduction: Due to side effects of antiinflammatory drugs such as dexamethasone and indomethacin, there is a less tendency to use them. On the other hand, the use of medicinal plants has been common in the treatment of inflammation since ancient times and also, using of the plants is increasing. Present research investigated the antiinflammatory effect of the hydroalcoholic extract of capitol...
متن کاملNaringenin protects against isoniazid- and rifampicin-induced apoptosis in hepatic injury
AIM To explore the protective effects and mechanisms of naringenin (NRG) on hepatic injury induced by isoniazid (INH) and rifampicin (RIF). METHODS Male mice were randomly divided into four groups and treated for 14 d as follows: normal control group was administered intragastrically with normal saline solution alone; model group was administered intragastrically with INH (100 mg/kg) and RIF ...
متن کاملAbatement by naringenin of doxorubicin-induced cardiac toxicity in rats.
BACKGROUND Doxorubicin is one of the most active cytotoxic agents in current use. It has proven efficacy in various malignancies either alone or combined with other cytocidal agents. The clinical usefulness of the anthracycline drug has been precluded by cardiac toxicity. Many therapeutic interventions have been attempted to improve the therapeutic benefits of the drug. Few, however, have been ...
متن کاملCarbon dioxide‑pneumoperitoneum in rats reduces ischemia/reperfusion‑induced hepatic apoptosis and inflammatory responses by stimulating sensory neurons.
Laparoscopic surgery induces a milder inflammatory response than open surgery, however, the precise mechanisms underlying this phenomenon remain to be elucidated. Our previous study demonstrated that stimulation of sensory neurons inhibited hepatic apoptosis and inflammatory responses in rats subjected to hepatic ischemia/reperfusion (I/R). Since carbon dioxide (CO2) has been demonstrated to st...
